Subsidiaries of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC - ADY Container LLC and ADY Express LLC, have set up cooperation with new partners during the International Exhibition of Transport and Logistics Services held in Moscow, a source in the ADY Container LLC told Trend.
The purpose of the new interactions is to transport additional cargo in transit through Azerbaijan, the source said.
“In the course of the event, Azerbaijani railway workers presented a new concept for the development of transport communications after the 44-day Armenia-Azerbaijan Second Karabakh War that took place from late Sept. to early Nov. 2020, the growing transit potential of Azerbaijan and the possibilities to simplify cargo transportation,” the subsidiary company said.
The representatives of the Azerbaijan Railways subsidiaries revealed the potential of North-South, South-West, East-West, and North-West transport corridors passing through Azerbaijan, spoke about the work of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway and the Astara (Azerbaijan) - Astara (Iran ).
“Focusing on the topic of transportation of goods by rail through Azerbaijan, they also spoke about the cargo terminal in Iranian Astara, as well as about the possibilities and advantages of new infrastructure projects being implemented in Azerbaijan,” the company added.
