Hungary plans to launch flights to Uzbekistan - ministry

Hungary plans to launch flights from Budapest to the Uzbek cities of Samarkand, Tashkent, and Bukhara, Trend reports citing the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Uzbekistan.

This topic was discussed after the talks between the Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó.

One of the main issues of the meeting was the resumption of tourist exchange and the adoption of specific measures to significantly increase the flow of tourists between Uzbekistan and Hungary. In this regard, the parties discussed the launch of direct flights Budapest - Samarkand by WizzAir.

The Hungarian Foreign Minister confirmed his high interest in the implementation of direct flights from Budapest to major cities of Uzbekistan such as Samarkand, Tashkent, and Bukhara. At the same time, he expressed readiness to assist in providing more flexible conditions for servicing at Uzbek airports, as well as signing an agreement on air traffic.

In its turn, the Uzbek side confirmed its readiness to create the most attractive conditions and support for the Hungarian air carrier to launch flights in the near future.
