ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 22. The freight division of the Austrian Federal Railway (RCG ÖBB) will begin cargo transportation to Turkmenistan within the Middle Corridor, Trend reports.
According to the information received from the company, RCG ÖBB plans to expand its network with new destinations in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
The key advantage of these transport solutions will be that the transported goods will be fully provided with safety and reliability, and the carriers themselves will be issued transport insurance, and the time of the full delivery cycle will be about 30 days.
Furthermore, the last point of transportation within the corridor was chosen precisely the region of Central Asia, whose countries have recently been intensifying trade and economic cooperation with European states.
The main ports of the route — Constanta (Romania) and Poti (Georgia) — will be connected to Ashgabat (Turkmenistan), Almaty and Astana (Kazakhstan) and Tashkent (Uzbekistan).
Meanwhile, this decision creates new prospects for connecting large Central Asian countries to the Austrian railway network for the development of trade with European countries.
