ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, November 28. The Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan signed a Memorandum on transport connectivity, Trend reports.

This memorandum was signed on November 26-27, in Ashgabat, during the first meeting of the Turkmen-Kazakh working group on transport, transit, and logistics, which was attended by members from both countries' key ministries and departments.

The working group meeting was presided over by Deputy Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Annayev from Turkmenistan and Vice Minister of Transport Talgat Lastayev from Kazakhstan.

The signed document aims to expand and encourage cooperation to attract traffic volumes across Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan's territories, including joint measures to create favorable tariff conditions, synchronize infrastructure development, introduce digital solutions for the exchange of preliminary and other information, and so on.

Furthermore, it was also decided to create a permanent working group from among the competent representatives of the competent state bodies of the transport industry.

The meeting ended with the signing of the protocol of the first meeting of the Turkmen-Kazakh working group on transport, transit and logistics.

Meanwhile, the development of transport cooperation between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan is a strategic direction contributing to the deepening of economic and cultural ties between the two countries.

They strive to improve infrastructure and transport routes, which contributes to a more efficient exchange of goods, strengthening mutually beneficial partnerships and promoting regional stability.
