A draft law ‘On the ratification of the Third Protocol on amending the Agreement on basic principles of military-technical cooperation between member states of the Treaty on Collective Security dated May 15, 1992’ was approved at the plenary meeting of the Majilis (lower chamber of parliament) of Kazakhstan.

A draft law 'On the ratification of the Third Protocol on amending the Agreement on basic principles of military-technical cooperation between member states of the Treaty on Collective Security dated May 15, 1992' was approved at the plenary meeting of the Majilis (lower chamber of parliament) of Kazakhstan.

The Protocol envisages amendments to the agreement concerning the use of the ruble of the Russian Federation as a means of settlement between the CSTO member states along with freely convertible currency.

The Collective Security Treaty Organisation is a military-political union created by the CIS member states. It includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
