BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 10. Kazakhstan registered a slight drop of 0.6 percent in the number of real estate deals in December 2022, compared to a prior month, Trend reports, citing the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of Kazakhstan.

In total, 33,587 real estate purchase and sale deals were recorded in December 2022, compared to the 33,797 arrangements in November 2022.

Almaty retained its top position with 8,063 of the overall operations concluded here. This constitutes 24 percent of the total number of deals.

Astana came as a distant second with 5,004 deals concluded, which is an equivalent of 14.9 percent of the total.

Meanwhile, only 343 operations were carried out in the Ulytau region, which amounts to 1 percent.

Kazakhstan also recorded a 1.5 percent drop in real estate prices on the secondary housing market in December 2022, compared to the prior month. This is the first monthly drop since March 2018.
