ASTANA, Kazakhstan, January 26. The volume of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Asian countries amounted to $47.6 billion from January through November 2023, which is almost 6.5 percent more than in the same period last year ($44.7 billion), Trend reports.
Data from the country's Bureau of National Statistics shows that in the structure of trade turnover, exports to Asian countries for the above period amounted to $25.2 billion, which is 12.5 percent less than from January through November 2022 ($28.8 billion).
At the same time, imports from Asian countries from January through November 2023 increased by 41 percent and amounted to $22.3 billion. For the 11 months of 2022, imports amounted to $15.8 billion.
Meanwhile, Kazakhstan's trade turnover amounted to $125.9 billion from January through November 2023. This volume exceeds by 2 percent the indicators for the 11 months of 2022 (123.2 billion).
At the same time, export volumes for 11 months in 2023 amounted to $71.2 billion, which is 8 percent less than for 11 months in 2022 ($77.8 billion).
Moreover, the volume of imports during the period under review amounted to $54.6 billion. This is 20 percent more than for the same period in 2022 ($45.3 billion).
