TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 22. Qatar's Power International Holding plans to launch the production of ammonia and urea in Uzbekistan's Navoi region, Trend reports.
The news followed a recent meeting between Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Deputy General Director of Power International Holding Maurice Ghattas.
During the talks, the parties discussed the implementation of agreements reached during the October visit of Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Qatar.
Earlier this month, Uzbekistan and Qatari entrepreneurs discussed plans to create a joint fund for financial support of new investment projects.
The new joint investment projects include the construction of a modern hotel complex in the Bukhara city, a large logistics center, a commercial and residential complex in Tashkent city, the development of high-speed road and railway infrastructure, airport modernization, as well as projects in the fields of energy, metallurgy, textile industry, livestock, and manufacturing pf construction materials.
