Arvand Free Zone has the capacity to expand exports of goods alongside expertise and human resources, said the head of investment department at Arvand Free Zone Organization.
Rouhollah Khazaei discussed the exports capacities of Arvand Free Zone in an interview with Trend.
"Arvand Free Zone ranks first in exports among other free zones of the country. The exports from Arvand Free Zone reach almost $1 billion. It has high potential for developing cooperation with Iraq's Basra, which is located not far from the zone. Implementing free visa for regime for Iran and Iraq visitors will enhance bilateral ties between the two countries," he added.
In his words, more investments from private sector in the zone are expected this Iranian year (started March 21, 2019). "It is planned that Arvand Free Zone will provide raw material and facilitate the import of machinery and technology," he noted.
"Measures will be also taken to involve enterprises in cooperation with Arvand Free Zone Organization and support of production project in the area," Khazaei added.
