( Irna ) - Mostafa Boroujerdi has been appointed Iran's new Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), it was announced here Saturday.
Boroujerdi's appointment was proposed by Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki and approved by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
Boroujerdi has served as Foreign Ministry advisor for Arab and African Affairs, Iran's charge d'affaires to Madagascar, and Iran's ambassador to the Vatican.
Boroujerdi replaces Mohammad Kazem Khansari.
