Iran announces new list of subsidized goods

Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) in a letter to the Customs Administration announced a new list of subsidized goods, the TPO told Trend February 19.

The list was recently proposed jointly by the Ministry of Industry, Mine, and Trade and the Ministry of Economy and was passed by the cabinet under anti-goods smuggling law.

Accordingly, wheat, flour, and bread (from the staples group), as well as gasoline, gas oil, kerosene, liquid gas, mazut, and aviation fuel (ATK) (from the group of energy carriers) are listed as subsidized goods.

Special disease drugs, chronic disease drugs, vaccines, powdered milk, and blood bags (from the health goods group) are also mentioned in the list.

Also, fertilizers potassium hydroxide and phosphate (from the agricultural goods) are included in the list of subsidized goods.
