The Iranian government is assigning lands for the construction of four million affordable houses in coming months, said the Minister of Road and Urban Development, Trend reports citing IRNA.
Employees in the Ministry of Road and Urban Development are working to scout lands for the housing construction plan, Rostam Ghasemi noted.
"The government has started the construction of 300,000 houses in newly built cities, in addition to 700,000 housing units across the country, as part of the National Housing Movement Plan. One million pieces of land have been already prepared for housing construction," he indicated
The number of newly married couples and youth is increasing, and demand for housing is expected to be more than four million houses. The Iranian government's landmark housing project known as the National Housing Movement Plan aims to build four million residential units in the next four years.
