TEHRAN, Iran, April 9. Iran is eyeing a possible increase in flour export to Turkey, said the head of Iran-Turkey Joint Chamber of Commerce Mehrdad Saadat, Trend reports citing IRNA.

"Iran can import wheat and produce flour and increase the export that could partly supply Turkey's demand for wheat flour," he said.

He went on to say that Iran's wheat silos have spare storage space and the country can import wheat and produce flour and increase export.

The official has ruled out rumors of an increase in flour export to Turkey stressing that export volume to Turkey has not changed so far.

The global food prices soar due to supply chain problems related to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russia and Ukraine conflict, two of the world’s largest grain exporters.
