BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 30. Iran exported almost 56 million tons of non-oil products worth $19.3 billion over the first 5 months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through August 22, 2023), Trend reports.
According to the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Iran's non-oil exports in the reporting period grew by volume by 26.5 percent year-on-year, but dropped in value by 9 percent.
Iran exported goods worth $5.6 billion to China, $3.5 billion to Iraq, $2.3 billion to the UAE, $2.2 billion dollars to Türkiye, and $845 million to India over the mentioned period.
Meanwhile, the value of Iran's non-oil trade turnover totaled over $43.5 billion in 5 months.
Iran's non-oil exports exclude only crude oil, mazut, and white oil. Due to sanctions imposed by the US and Western countries, Iran cannot freely export the mentioned products. That’s why it attaches importance to the export of non-oil products.
