Head of the Kurdish Administration of Northern Iraq Masoud Barzani will meet with former Iraqi Vice President Tariq al-Hashimi during his visit to Turkey, the Zaman newspaper reported on Thursday.
It is expected that during the meeting the situation in Iraq, in particular the country's Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki's policy will be discussed.
Barzani will also hold meetings with a number of Turkish officials, including Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.
A warrant for arrest of Al-Hashemi - Sunni by religion - was issued by the Iraqi judicial system on Dec.19, 2011. However, al-Hashimi fled to the north of the country.
