US President Barack Obama spoke by telephone with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan Monday to discuss "efforts to accelerate a political transition in Syria," the White House said.
The leaders agreed to coordinate humanitarian efforts to assist Syrian refugees, including those that have fled to Turkey, DPA reported.
They also expressed concern about attacks in Aleppo and the deterioration of the humanitarian conditions across Syria.
