Ukraine's president pays visit to Korea

(ForUm) Victor Yushchenko and his wife are paying a visit to South Korea December 18-20, president's press office reported.

They are accompanied by Foreign Minister Borys Tarasyuk, Defense Minister Anatoly Hrytsenko, Economy Minister Volodymyr Makukha, Deputy Chief of Staff Oleksandr Chalyy, Ukrspetsexport Director General Serhiy Bondarchuk, National Space Agency First Deputy Director General Valeriy Komarov and the Head of the Verkhovna Rada Group for Parliamentary Relations with South Korea, MP Serhiy Larin, reports Trend.

On December 18, Yushchenko is expected to meet with South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun for talks in Seoul, sign a number of bilateral agreements and lay wreaths on the Monument to Korean Fighters, reports Trend.

On December 19, the President will meet with Parliamentary Speaker Lim Chae-jung, attend a business forum and address students and professors of Korea University. He will meet with members of the Association for Friendship with Ukraine and the Parliamentary Association Korea-Ukraine. Yushchenko will also visit the Jogyesa Buddhist temple.
