A roadside explosion killed two Turkish soldiers and wounded seven more on Wednesday in the southeastern province of Van, Turkish security sources said, according to Reuters.
The deaths come a day after two attacks by separatist rebels in the mainly Kurdish southeast killed eight soldiers.
Turkey has been locked in a 25-year conflict with the separatist Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), in violence which has killed nearly 40,000 people.
The government is working on reforms to address decades-old Kurdish complaints of discrimination which it hopes will erode support for the rebels, and combat violence and poverty in the southeast.
Opposition parties have criticised the measures however, particularly in view of continued soldier deaths in the region.
Security sources on Wednesday increased the death toll from one of Tuesday's attacks to 7 from 5.
