The "Seabright" dry cargo ship flying under the Colombian flag, with a crew of 18 Egyptian and Syrian sailors, sank in the Mediterranean Sea along the Turkish coast, the Cihan news agency reported.
The ship was thrown on sharp rocks during the storm. The ship was severely damaged and sank. Some 18 people were on board. All of the crew members left the ship.
According to the agency, 17 were rescued. The injured were placed in hospitals in Antalya.
Search operations are underway.
