Volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish Gulluk port revealed

The volume of cargo transshipment in Port of Gulluk of Turkey’s Mugla province made up 952,365 tons in January-February 2020, Turkey’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend on April 1.

During the reporting period, the volume of cargo transshipment by vessels flying the Turkish flag via the Port of Gulluk amounted to 444,168 tons.

Meanwhile, vessels flying the flag of other countries transshipped 508,197 tons of cargo via the Port of Gulluk.

“In January-February 2020, no cargo transportation was carried out by transit through the Port of Gulluk,” the ministry said.

During the reporting period, the volume of cargo transshipment via Turkish ports made up 62.4 million tons.

The volume of cargo transshipment by vessels flying the Turkish flag in January-February 2020 amounted to 4.5 million tons.

The volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports by ships flying their countries' flag made up 2.6 million, and by ships flying the flag of other countries amounted to 55.2 million tons.

According to the ministry, in January-February 2020, over 12.5 million tons of cargo were transited through Turkish ports.

The volume of cargo transshipment through the Turkish ports exceeded 29.5 million tons in February 2020.

The volume of cargo transshipment by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 2.1 million tons.

In February 2020, the volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports by ships flying their countries' flag made up 1.1 million tons, and by ships flying the flag of other countries amounted to 26.1 million tons.

Over 6.3 million tons of cargo transshipment in transit were carried out during February 2020 through Turkish ports.
