BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 29. Ports of Turkey handled 4.1 million tons of cargo from Spain from January through March 2022, Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.
According to ministry, ships flying the Turkish flag delivered 502,943 tons of cargo from Spain to local ports and ships flying the flags of other countries – 3.5 million tons.
Ships flying the Spanish flag delivered 84,872 tons of cargo to Turkish ports during this period.
Turkish ports handled 801,742 tons of transit cargo from Spain in 1Q2022.
Ports of Turkey handled 24.1 million tons of cargo in March 2022. Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey through local ports amounted to 2.2 million tons during the specified period.
Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 31.8 million tons.
Turkish ports handled 6.6 million tons of transit cargo in March 2022.
Turkish ports handled 98.6 million tons of cargo in 1Q2022. Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey amounted to 6.9 million tons during the specified period.
Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 91.6 million tons.
