Türkiye reveals cargo traffic volume from Greece via local ports

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 21. The Turkish ports handled over 2.39 million tons of cargo from Greece from January through February 2023, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.

The ships flying the Turkish flag delivered 128,347 tons of cargo from Greece through the local ports, while the vessels flying the flags of other countries - 2.2 million tons.

During the reporting period, ships flying the Greek flag handled 22,733 tons of cargo via the Turkish ports.

Furthermore, a total of 407,944 tons of cargo were transited from January through February from Greece through the ports of Türkiye.

Overall, Turkish ports handled 27.5 million tons of cargo in February 2023.

During this period, ships flying the Turkish flag handled 2.2 million tons of cargo via the local ports, while those flying the flags of other countries - 25.3 million tons.

A total of 5.6 million tons of transit cargo were transshipped via Turkish ports in February 2023.

Furthermore, the Turkish ports handled 59.6 million tons of cargo from January through February 2023.

During the mentioned period, the vessels flying Turkish flags transported 4.1 million tons of cargo, whereas the ships flying the flags of other countries handled 55.4 million tons of cargo through the Turkish ports.

A total of 12.1 million tons of transit cargo were shipped through the Turkish ports from January through February 2023.
