KraussMaffei Technologies GmbH, a German manufacturer of machines for plastics extrusion, is keen to return to Iran's market. Speaking on the sidelines of Iran Plast 2016 exhibition in Tehran, Markus Geisenhofer, an official with KraussMaffei Technologies, said that the company is highly motivated to resume its cooperation with Iran in the post sanctions-era, Shana news agency reported. He added that the company failed to cooperate with Iran over the past four years due to the restrictions imposed by the international sanctions. On April 17 Iran wrapped up its 10th international plastics & rubber industry exhibition Iran Plast 2016, with many Iranian and much more foreign companies seeking business opportunities in the post-sanctions country.
In a joint statement on Jan. 16, the EU High Representative Federica Mogherini and Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif announced the implementation of the JCPOA, aka nuclear deal, and the removal of economic sanctions on Iran. The EU confirmed that the legal framework, providing for lifting of its nuclear-related economic and financial sanctions, is effective, according to the statement.
