Kanat Dosmukametov appointed to the post of the Managing Director of Kazakh National Welfare Fund Samruk-Kazyna, the Fund reported.
"Kanat Dosmukametov was appointed as the Managing Director upon the order of Samruk-Kazyna's Chairman of the Board," the Fund said.
Dosmukametov will be responsible for the Corporate Finance and Treasury Department and the Directorate for the financial institutions management.
Earlier, Dosmukametov served as the Chairman of the Treasury Committee under the Kazakh Finance Ministry.
Kazakh National Welfare Fund Samruk-Kazyna is a joint stock company in Kazakhstan, which wholly or partially owns many important companies in the country. The state is the only shareholder of the Fund. Samruk-Kazyna controls the assets worth $86.9 billion.
