Two Iranian ships passed through the Suez Canal and docked at the port city of Tartus on Syria's east coast, Mehr news agency reports.'
Last year Iran signed an agreement with Syria to provide maritime training
The passage was coordinated with Egypt's armed forces and the ships docked in Tartus on Friday.
