Floods caused by heavy rains have killed two people in southern Belgium, DPA reported according to the broadcaster RTBF.
A man drowned after being washed away by rising water on a street, while a 72-year-old woman died after being trapped in her car. Both deaths occurred overnight in the community of Solre-Saint-Gery, near the French border.
The floods snarled traffic across the country. Firefighters worked around the clock, as river levels continued to rise.
