Azerbaijani mobile operator negotiates with cable operator to gain access to 3G frequency resources

Azerbaijani mobile operator - Bakcell holds negotiations with cable operator B&BTV Communications to provide unimpeded access to 3G frequency spacing to render services to its subscribers, Bakcell told Trend on Friday.

According to the information, the services based on 3G network, will be deployed immediately after the relevant frequencies are allocated.

"We are negotiating with the company B&BTV now," the company said. "W can not spread any information until we reach agreement on this issue. We hope to complete negotiations before the end of the year. Our infrastructure is fully ready to commercially launch the services. It will happen after we get a range of frequencies for 3G."

The 3G initial phases in Bakcell network have been already deployed and ready for using.

"We will start providing 3G-services after the State Committee on Radio Frequencies provides Bakcell with the necessary frequency.

Bakcell company has paid 11,000 manat for a valid license issued by the Azerbaijani Communications and Information Technologies Ministry.
