The SOCAR company has drilled and commissioned a new well on the Guneshli field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, said the message of the company released Oct. 2.
The message said that the well No.37 was drilled from the base No.19 in the range of 2,976-2,941 meters, and its daily debit equals to 100 tons of oil and 19,000 cubic meters of gas.
The 28 May OGPD carries out maintenance work on the well.
Guneshli field plays an important role in Azerbaijan's oil and gas industry. The field's shallow part is developed by SOCAR independently, while the deepwater part - within the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli block - is developed jointly with foreign partners.
In total, SOCAR produced over 8.32 million metric tons of oil in 2014, compared to 8.31 million metric tons in 2013.
Over 42.4 million metric tons of oil was produced in Azerbaijan in 2014, compared to 43.5 million metric tons in 2013.
