Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. I.Alizadeh / The draft on regulating the protection of cultural and historical monuments of Azerbaijan is being developed, MP Rafael Huseynov, a member of the Permanent Parliamentary Commission on Culture and member of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE, said.
"It is necessary to adopt the bill on protecting Azerbaijan's cultural heritage, including the Gobustan reserve, Gey-Gol lake, Azikh cave, and Icheri Shahar ( Old City),"Huseynov said.
Bills on protecting cultural and historical heritage have been adopted in many counties.
The bill will define the status of cultural and historical monuments, as well as protect the use of historical and cultural heritage of Azerbaijan.
