Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr K. Zarbaliyeva / Azerbaijan registered 1,832 drug trafficking-related crimes within the last eight months. According to the State Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and Drug Trafficking, 1,074 crimes are connected with storage, 648 with sale, and ninety-two with the cultivation of narcotics.
In the aforementioned period, police removed over 831kg of drugs (543kg of hashish, 91kg of marijuana, 59kg of opium, 39kg of heroin, and other) from the illegal drug trade.
Over 313t of wild and illegally cultivated drug plants were discovered and destroyed.
