Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend S.Ilhamgizi / The Head of the Russian Communist Party, Chairman of International Union of Communist Partiers, Gennady Zuganov, appealed to the Communist Party of Azerbaijan (CPA), the CPA Deputy Chairman, Rustam Shahsuvarov, reported to Trend on 28 September.
Zuganov heads the deputies' fraction of the Communist Party in Russia's State Duma. His fraction is the second in Duma( Russian Parliament) for the number of the parliamentarians. The Russian political parties are preparing for the upcoming parliamentary elections in December.
In order to gain additional votes in the elections, Zuganov appealed to the CPA with a request of brining up a propaganda amongst the Russian citizens residing in Azerbaijan.
Shahsuvarov said that they answered Zuganov's letter. "We are going to render friendly assistance to Russian communists and hold propaganda for them. For this purpose, we will hold talks with the Russian citizens residing in Azerbaijan," he said.
Voting will be organized for the Russian citizens residing in Azerbaijan.
