Azerbaijan, Baku, 18 March / Trend corr. I.Alizadeh / The meeting of the opposition Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA) will be held in June or July.
"The party has finished preparations for the meeting- which will be held in 2007. However, we could not implement the meeting because of certain problems. As per the decision taken during the latest meeting of PFPA Supreme Assembly, the meeting will be held in summer," Hasan Karimov, Deputy Chairman of PFPA, stated to trend News on 18 march.
The reports developed by Ali Karimli, PFPA chairman, as well as chairman of the Supreme Assembly and Central Control Commission, will be read out and the composition of Supreme Assembly is also expected to be ratified during the meeting.
"The meeting participants will discuss the upcoming presidential elections. If PFPA will decide to participate in the elections, we will definitely choose the candidate for this purpose," Deputy Chairman said.
PFPA is currently a member and co-founder of the political bloc Azadlig. Abulfaz Elchibay, Ex-President, was founder and chairman of the party in 2000. Since 2000, MP Ali Karmli has been the chairman of the party.
