Russia achieved its object on PASS - head of delegation

France, Strasburg, 1 October/ Trend , corr A. Maharramli/ More than less we could achieve our object in Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, told Constantine Kochev, head of Russian delegation to PASS, to journalists.

їWe successfully persuaded Assembly to not to accept sanctions but to make further steps. We shall certainly prove the conflict has begun on fault of Georgia and Russia has rescued about thousands lives taking it a responsibility as well as other democratic states.

It was all we discussed today. There were also 20 deputies voting against the stay of Russiaїs powers in the PASS although 24 members were for. Those 114 deputies voted for prolongation of powers of Russian delegation showed validity of the made decision. Itїs significant to note that during the voting we didnїt participate,ї emphasized Kosachev.

According to his expressions it seemed such important issues were less important to solve those sanctions.

The Council of Europe has a unique mission to invite parties to dialogue and action against application of force in the international attitudes.

їThe discussions will be further complex, and we donїt expect any compliments from CE in our address. ї
