Interior Minister of Iran Sadig Mahsouli said in an interview with the Iranian channel IRINN that in spite of opinions in the Western media, the elections in Iran took place in a transparent manner, and active participation of the people showed that they trust on their government.
Mahsouli said that the elections were held before the eyes of the Supervisory Board and representatives of presidential candidates and the votes will be calculated under their supervision. According to him, the calculation will start immediately after the election completes. The election results will be announced gradually from tomorrow morning, said Mahsuli.
