A solemn ceremony was held at the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry's Police Academy dedicated to 2009/2010 graduation and 92nd anniversary of Azerbaijani police.
A total of 116 internal students and 145 distant students graduated the Academy this year, Ramiz Nagiyev, the rector of Academy, said in his appeal.
Interior Minister Ramil Usubov spoke about role, which Azerbaijani police plays in the country's life and loyal service to the state.
"President Ilham Aliyev's actions to strengthen Azerbaijan plays an important role in improving work of the interior agencies in line with the international standards. Crimes by using guns have decreased by 7 times in Azerbaijan over the past few years. Meanwhile, withdrawal of guns from population increased considerably," the minister said.
The graduates were conferred titles and gifts and marsh past was held.
