59 percent of the population supports Georgia's joining NATO. 25 percent fully supports Georgia's membership to NATO, 34 percent believed such integration is acceptable. 16 percent of respondents opposed Georgia's joining the alliance.
This is the result of a survey conducted by the National Democratic Institute (NDI) which was attended by 2,035 respondents throughout Georgia, including more than 900 - in Tbilisi.
Regarding the foreign policy of Georgia, 59 percent of respondents considered unsuitable the policy of the Georgian leadership with regards to Russia. However, for 25 percent, this policy is partially acceptable, but for 34 percent - completely unacceptable.
