Japan supports Georgia's territorial integrity

Japan supports Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Japan voiced its position on the issue during Georgian-Japanese political consultations in Tokyo.
The Japanese side also thanked Georgia for its support in international organizations.
"The sides expressed a willingness to continue cooperation in this direction," the Georgian Foreign Ministry told Trend.
The political consultations covered a wide range of issues of bilateral and multilateral relations.
"During the visit, the Georgian delegation held meetings with Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Vice Minister Ikuo Yamahana and European Affairs Bureau Deputy Director General Masaru Watanabe," the Georgian Foreign Ministry said in a press release. "The meeting focused on making active Georgian-Japanese relations in the political and economic sphere, as well as in the sphere of education."
The sides also discussed ways of intensifying relations at the governmental level, prospects for developing and deepening economic cooperation, and issues relating to tourism activities exchanges within the cooperation of GUAM-Japan.
The third Georgia-Japan consultations were held in Tokyo on Nov. 9-12.
