Turkey will create all the necessary conditions so members of the terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party could freely leave the country, the Hurriyet newspaper quotes Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan as saying.

He said earlier there were such cases in Turkey when the army attacked the militants - PKK members while they were leaving Turkey. This time, Turkey guarantees secured exit of PKK members from the country, he said.

Earlier Erdogan said Turkey's goal in the fight against terrorism is the final laying down of weapons by terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party and the leaving of it's members from the country.

He said Turkey will do its best to resolve the terrorism problem in the country.

The conflict between Turkey and the PKK has lasted for over 25 years. The PKK is recognised as a terrorist organisation by both the UN and the EU.
