Azerbaijan’s CEC conducts monitoring prior to possible e-voting in elections

The Central Election Commission (CEC) is to conduct monitoring in advance of possible electronic voting, the CEC chairman Mazahir Panahov told Trend on Friday.
According to him, the possibility of electronic voting in the election will be studied in accordance with the results of the monitoring.
"The results will be available in about six weeks that is by early July," Panahov said.
He also noted that the purchase of new ballot boxes prior to the upcoming presidential elections is not planned.
"We have sufficient amount of ballot boxes and there is no need to purchase more," Panahov said.
The presidential elections in Azerbaijan are scheduled for autumn.
