President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received the credentials of Norway's newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Bard Ivar Svendsen.
Saying that the bilateral relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Kingdom of Norway were satisfactory in general, President Aliyev expressed his confidence that Bard Ivar Svendsen's tenure would see this cooperation further develop.
Saying that long-term energy relations between the two countries were successfully developing, President Aliyev noted that there was mutual interest in deepening this cooperation in the non-energy sector too.
Bard Ivar Svendsen emphasized the importance of long-term active cooperation in the energy sector. He said he would spare no efforts to ensure the broadening of the bilateral relations during his diplomatic tenure in Azerbaijan.
