Encouraging tolerance as way to get rid of extremism, ex-speaker says

Tolerance should be encouraged in order to get rid of extremism, ex-Speaker of the Parliament of Malta Michael Frendo said Oct.3 at the round table "Humanism as the main value of the postmodern era", conducted in the frameworks of the IV Baku International Humanitarian Forum.
He said that tolerance is a mutual respect each other's thoughts.
"Tolerance is mutual understanding," said Frendo.
"With the rapid development of ICT all borders open, migration increases. We need to understand each other and treat everyone with respect."
He also said that social harmony can be created. "Nothing can be above the human dignity," the ex-chairman said.
