Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev met with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Baku Aug. 8.
The presidents made speeches during the meeting.
“I would like to emphasize Russia’s role in the process of settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict,” said President Aliyev addressing the meeting. “We appreciate this role. Your personal participation plays an important role in making progress in the settlement process.”
“The meeting in St. Petersburg in June was dedicated to this issue and I express gratitude to you for your personal active participation in this process,” added President Aliyev.
