Steinar Gil, the Norwegian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, got familiar with the pre-election situation in Shamakhi. The Ambassador met with the representatives of region branches of political parties during his visit to Shamakhi, the embassy told Trend.
Gil held an exchange of opinions on public-political situation in the region, ensuring of freedom of speech and democracy during the elections campaign of candidates.
The diplomat also planed to meet with Natig Mammadov, the head of the Shamakhi Executive Power, and leadership of the region branch of the New Azerbaijan Party, but the meetings were postponed due to changes in the schedules of the sides.
