FOREIGN MINISTRY OF AZERBAIJAN REACTED TO NOTE OF UKRAINE

В"The citizen of Ukraine Sergey Evtushenko was denied to enter Azerbaijan in accordance with the national legislation of the Azerbaijan Republic and the international practice, stipulating the right of the sovereign state for identification of persons whose entrance to the territory of the state is undesirable and without indicating the grounds for taking such a decision”, the official response of the Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry to the note of the Embassy of Ukraine to Azerbaijan, forwarded in regard to this country’s citizen Evtushenko to be refused to enter Baku, the diplomatic sources told Trend.

В"Confirming our complete adherence to the international legal and bilateral inter-state documents the Azerbaijani side created all necessary conditions for multiple visits of Evtushenko by the consular department official of the Ukraine Embassy in Baku “, the return message of the Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry notes.

It should be noted, that the activist of the Ukrainian В"PORA” and the advisor of the Ukraine’s FM Sergey Evtushenko and together with him a citizen of Estonia Andrey Popov were invited to Baku for participating in the international conference on the situation in Azerbaijan and Belarus. At the Bina airport they were detained by the officers of the border service. Two more activists of PORA were with them, and at the result all three of them were allowed to enter the country, except for Evtushenko. After one day detainment he was deported to his country.
