Since the start of the agitation stage of the municipal election campaign, only one complained has been received by the Central Election Committee of Azerbaijan (CEC), Mazahir Panakhov, Chairman of Azerbaijan`s CEC told Trend.
According to him, the candidate complained the fact that he could not agitate, as conditions for the agitation holding was not prepared. We got acquainted with the complaint. That is not a serious issue, but we shall consider it and make a corresponding decision on it. On the whole, all the complaints CEC has received to be considered within three days, and the final decisions on them are published in the press.
According to the Chairman of CEC, the agitation stage is held normally, and no problems have been observed yet. Mr. Panakhov pointed out that there were no problems even during the registration of the candidates. All necessary conditions were created for those who wanted to be nominated; therefore any discontent was not observed. The agitation stage is also held without any problems. Everything is OK. On the whole, the level of the candidates is high. They prepared their documents properly, they observed all rules. We can say that the electoral culture has become higher in the country. All the election committees work professionally, he told.
Mr. Panakhov pointed out that in order to extend the preparation and education of the lower election committees, CEC constantly holds seminars-meetings and trainings. CECE Apparatus employees check the work of these commissions and their readiness for the forthcoming elections on the spots.
According to Azerbaijan`s CEC Chairman, in contradistinction with the previous election campaign, no contradictions and discontents between the parties have been observed during the current election campaign. That is connected with the development of the electoral culture and measures aimed at education taken by CEC. Political horrors are arisen during the election campaign. But today we do not observe these things. The orders signed by the Azerbaijan President have played an important role in the election process level increase. All tasks of these orders have been carried out. The results of the works are the lack of confrontation during the election process, underlined the Chairman of CEC.
