`Autumn's Session of Milli Majlis not Start on September 30

The autumn's session of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijan`s Parliament) will not begin on September 30, a source in the parliament of the country told Trend today.

It should be mentioned that according to the regulations of the Milli Majlis, the autumn`s session is to begin on September 30 and lasts till December 30.

On May 12, 2006, alterations in accordance with the first paragraph of the first part of article 88 of the Constitution of Azerbaijan Republic, which says that the Higher Legislative Body of the country is to gather to the session two times a year in spring and autumn, were moved to the regulations of the Milli Majlis. The spring`s session starts on February 1 and lasts till May 31, and the autumn`s session begins on September 30 and completes on December 30. If February 1 and September 30 fall at the week-end or holiday, then the sessions will begin their work in the first week-day after the week-end or holiday.

The source at the parliament told that the autumn`s session will begin its work later that the fixed time because of the repair works are being carried out at the building of the Parliament of the country.
