Today, on October 2, Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev has accepted Sarbuland Khan, Executive Secretary of Coordination Department and Assistance of UN Economic and Social Works Department. Mr Khan brought the speech of welcome from UN Secretary General Kofi Annan to the attention of the Azerbaijani President.
He pointed out that the UN Secretary General highly appreciate Azerbaijan`s development in the sphere of information and telecommunications.
President Ilham Aliyev pointed out that IT play an important role not only in Azerbaijan`s future development, but also in the entire World`s development. The Head of the Azerbaijani State also pointed out that Azerbaijan pays much attention to this sphere, that there are concrete projects connected with IT in the country now.
