Georgian Economic Development Minister: Georgia Invite Azerbaijan to Expand Its Investments to Georgian Economy

Azerbaijan`s capacities to invest the Georgian economy were considered during the meeting between Azerbaijani Economic Development Minister Heydar Babayev and his Georgian counterpart Irakly Chogovadze held yesterday. During the today`s press-conference, the Azerbaijani Economic Development Minister told that the Georgian party is ready to provide Azerbaijani investors with a list of the objects that are of a great interest to Azerbaijani entrepreneurs, where they wish to participate, Trend told.

Today, Azerbaijani state-run and private companies are investing Georgia, and we asked the Georgian party to create maximum favourable conditions for their unimpeded activity in this country. Notably that Azerbaijan can appear as an investor itself, and the Georgian counterpart of the Azerbaijani Economic Development Minister invited Azerbaijan to become it. And naturally, there are objects and facilities where we would like to participate, and we are discussing these issues now, pointed out the Azerbaijani Minister.

In addition, the existing situation and perspectives of further cooperation, as well as a wide spectrum of different issues, including an influence of a project on opening of the railway communication via the route Kars-Akhalkalaki-Tbilisi-Baku on the Georgian economy, etc. were discussed during the meeting.
