Mikhail Kaminin, an official of the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated in talks with RIA Novosti that Moscow is prepared to act as a guarantee in the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should Armenia and Azerbaijan reach a compromise, Trend reports.
"We recognize that Azerbaijanis and Armenians have a major responsibility with regards to the resolution of the conflict. Russia would be prepared to support both countries and is willing to act a guarantee should an agreement be reached, he stated.
He stressed that Russia is eager to further assist both countries in achieving a solution to the conflict.
