Relations between Azerbaijan and Russia Transit to a New Level of Co-operation

At present relations between Azerbaijan and Russia transit to a new level of co-operation, the Russian Prime Minister, Mikhail Fradkov, stated on 4 December in Baku during the meeting with the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Trend reports.

He stressed that high level agreements have been implemented , relations between Azerbaijan and Russia are satisfactory, the commercial and economical co-operation is developing successfully and dynamically and this has assisted in the future development of relations between the two countries.

Speaking on the completion of the Russian Year in Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani Year in Russia, the Prime Minister said that they complement each other. In addition, Fradkov emphasized that it needs to expand its humanitarian relations, for which a relevant document has been signed in Baku. Russia wishes to develop relations with Azerbaijan by not limiting them to the oil and sector, Fradkov said, adding that key topics of co-operation were discussed during the meeting with the Azerbaijani Prime Minister, Artur Rasizade.
